Life Changes, Network Marketing, and Todd Falcone

That title is certainly a mouthful!

So, I created the video in this blog before even writing one word of it. That will sometimes happen when you are “in the moment” and there is a flow to your day. For me, neither of those applied – it was just the only time I could do a video without my kids interrupting!

With the many twists and turns that life and Network Marketing bring, I felt the need to write and talk about it. As you will see in the video, Todd Falcone and his ATeam have much to do with my current happiness in life and success in Network Marketing.

I am in the process of creating a new blog site, centered around my greatest passions (since that’s what makes my world go ’round!). The Network Marketing companies that I represent, are also a part of my daily life, and fit nicely in the grand scheme of things. Who says you have to do only one thing? We are a people of many talents and interests, and do not have to be tied down to one thing!

It’s important to do what you love…even if it is more than one thing…

Do you have the fire that’s required to succeed in your Network Marketing business? Do you feel ALIVE every day?

Do what lights your FIRE!!

The Meeting AFTER The Meeting

Have you ever gone to a Business Opportunity Meeting, or even a live event like a seminar? I have been to many over the course of my Network Marketing journey, and will continue to do so!

Have you gone to one of those meetings or events and most (if not all) of the information is basically the same? Did you think it was a waste of time? If so, then you have completely missed the purpose of attending these!

Let me give you a couple of tips about attending BOM’s or events:

1. Arrive early

2. “Show up”

3. Stay Late

Now, let me explain each one in more detail, so you can understand the significance.

1. Arrive Early – When you attend a meeting or event, it’s always a good idea to arrive early for a few different reasons. First of all, it makes it way easier to meet the organizer as well as any key speakers. You want to do this, and need to do this, so that they are familiar with you. It gives you a chance to get some one on one time with them, and might even be able to help them out in the future! (*Just as a side note, I arrived WAY early AND took the initiative to speak directly with a few of the people that were speaking that weekend. Not only did we have a nice conversation before the event even started, I was invited to tag along while they went to lunch!) Second, better seat selection. You want to sit up front and center as much as possible. Not only does it help you stay attentive, your “placement” will allow the speaker to actually see MORE of you. Third, it allows you to greet others as they are coming in, thereby showing YOU as a leader! Many of them might even ask who you are and if you are affiliated with the speakers….

2. “Show Up” – Really BE there with everyone and everything that you are learning. Even if you’ve heard it 100 times before, there may be something new you learn; a different perspective. Show the speaker courtesy and respect. When you are a leader, and give your full attention to the person speaking, others will see that and do the same. Then, when it’s your time to be the speaker, you will get that same respect in return.

3. Stay Late – This might be one of the most important things you ever do (especially if you were not able to show up early!). Depending on what time the session let out, it may be time to eat . =)  If you are feeling particularly ambitious, you can invite THEM to eat with YOU! Even if they say no, it was still a nice gesture, and they may extend a personal invite to you. Hang around afterwards for as long as possible, without appearing like a stalker. It’s one thing to linger and loiter, it’s quite another to engage in useful conversation (or to help clean up). During the speech(es), you may have written some questions down. This would be a great time to ask if you can have just a quick second of their time to explain something further. Please be sure to keep it quick. Most speakers are usually very busy, but want to help you as much as possible. Thank them for their time, either way. By showing a genuine interest in the topic, they may even spill the beans on something outside of what was talked about earlier.

Did you catch that last sentence? You have just been to a meeting for the umpteenth time, only to stay a few minutes afterwards, engage in light conversation, and walk away with something that could potentially change your life!

This phenomenon in referred to as,

The Meeting AFTER The Meeting

A perfect example of this was the No Excuses Summit in Vegas earlier this year. I saw it, and participated in it! Never underestimate the power of putting yourself out there. Just those 3 simple things can make all the difference in your financial and personal future!

This is one of those things I put right up there with Facebook and blog comments. Seriously, try it sometime! Besides, it’s a great way to make some AWESOME friends for life!

Which reminds me, please leave me a comment and let me know what you thought about this blog!  Thanks!

Leaders Don’t Chase!

Todd Falcone was one of the 19 speakers at the No Excuses Summit this weekend in Las Vegas. One of the things he talked about was that he didn’t chase prospects. If you left your information with him, or scheduled a call back, he’ll call you exactly when he says he will. No answer? You get a message. Maybe two. If you’re not serious enough about your life and financial future to pick up the friggin phone, he’s NOT going to keep calling!

I have read in many many many blogs about not “hunting” your prospects, but being the “hunted”. Now I know I haven’t read EVERY blog on this subject, but from all I have read up until now, NONE of them mention the following:

When you chase a prospect, you’re teaching them what they will have to do if they join you.

Nobody wants to work that hard! If you’re out there begging people to join your business, what do you think they are thinking when you do that? I’ll tell you: “Do I have to chase people too?” If your opportunity is so great, then let the other person be on their way if they say NO! Just be sure to ask for a referral….

Show your potential business partners how EASY it is, and the more success you will have. I promise!

So be very aware of what you are TEACHING them about the business you are promoting. Let them know that they will have your support and help along the way, to help them grow and reach the level of success they are crying out for.

Remember, you don’t have TIME to chase!

Some Will, Some Won’t, Some Wait, So What, NEXT!
