HUGE Way For Others To Get The Most Impact From Your Videos

Whatever “business” you’re into – Network marketing, Coaching, or anything else, really – where you do your videos is CRITICAL to how the message your sending comes across.

Have you ever watched a video of a “guru” or someone who is trying to convince you of their pitch or vision, only to lose you because of the quality? It could be as simple as lighting, but is most often LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!

HERE’S YOUR HUGE SUCCESS TIP: If you are giving details about something, like a business comp plan (or if you’re a Life Coach, you’re giving details about how to make a specific change), etc, make your videos indoors. The personal feel of one on one is an amazing way to get people to lean into your words and vision.

This video by Katie Freiling will show you what I mean:

On the other hand, if you are talking about “growing” or “expanding”, or using words to paint the picture of enormity, make your videos outside. Jonathan Budd is amazing with this format, and it doesn’t even matter what he says! You could mute the video and still get the feel of enormous expansion, amazing possibilities and incredible visions! And in an interesting twist, this man can still get close enough to your heart to speak that one on one language with you. THIS is an example of someone who can really call you to action! Check out what I mean in the video below:

(You’ll have to click the link since it’s not a YouTube video, but something I received in my email!)

It’s just one example of the power of knowing your audience, knowing your product/service, and understanding language, and using specific LOCATION for your videos.

I understand that not everyone has access to top of the line equipment, and I’m here to tell you that you don’t need it! You can create and share incredibly powerful messages by being aware, and making changes when necessary. Do some planning ahead – even a little bit goes a long way!

Have fun planning your next series of life changing videos! I’m off to take my own advice!

Blessings!

How to Establish Rapport Quickly and Easily

This morning, I wanted to pass along something that came in my Inbox. It’s an article that was written by Lynn Pierce from Success Blueprint, and I found it to be incredibly thorough and the number one thing to focus if you want to succeed in ANY business. When you have finished reading it, please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts!

Feature Article:  How to Establish Rapport Quickly and Easily

Did you know your client is sub-consciously either raising or lowering their defenses based on their 3-second appraisal of who you are? What can you do to make sure their impression of you is of a professional who is open and caring? Instinctively they will decide if you are successful, confident, cocky or being fake friendly just to sell them something.

Your client will sub-consciously be reading your body language. Greet your client by clearly giving the impression you are happy to meet them. If this is difficult for you, say to yourself, “I care about who you are.” This means having a genuine smile on your face, full eye contact and a warm handshake for everyone who is in front of you, including children. Don’t forget to thank them for their time.

People talk to clients in one of three ways.

  1. Most talk to clients like they would talk to a stranger, keeping them at a distance.
  2. Some talk to a client as family, which is too casual and familiar.
  3. One major key to your success is learning to talk to your clients as if you are talking to a friend.

At the same time you are paying careful attention to their body language and discovering their personality style. If your client is a couple or a group of people, knowing their personality styles by observing how they interact will also help you quickly discover what the power structure of the group is.

Small talk creates rapport by establishing friendly common ground and allows your client to become increasingly comfortable with you. This is when they will decide if they like and trust you and want to do business with you.

Continue small talk until you feel their defenses are lowered to a point where they aren’t afraid to listen to what you have to say about your product, at least five minutes. Gain their trust by sharing about yourself. Meaning, have a real conversation and really care about the person you’re talking to. This isn’t brain surgery, it’s common courtesy.

Listen More Than You Talk

This is the time to gather information, not present it. Clients seldom have anyone show an interest in what they do and who they are, much less what they think. Through sincere interest and approval, you will find the client more than willing to talk and grateful for the opportunity.

By having conversation about things you have in common and letting your client talk about their work and their life , their needs and desires will become abundantly clear and you will be miles ahead of your competitors. The client appreciates your interest, you will have bonded, and now they are ready to talk about business.

Asking questions allows you to drop little points about your product here and there when appropriate in conversation. This creates curiosity and your client will lead you from this part of the conversation to the beginning of your product presentation by asking you questions.

By dropping little bits of information about your product into the conversation you give them the opportunity to show their interest. If you give the full information about a part of your product without the client specifically asking, how will you know if the client is interested in that aspect of your service?

If they don’t ask anything more about it, they’re not interested in that aspect of your product. Now you can concentrate your presentation on those areas the client has expressed an interest in. You don’t have to guess, the client has told you his interests by the questions he’s asked.

You’ll be amazed how much more you know about your client by spending this extra 5 to 10 minutes. If you ask questions and listen carefully in this conversation, you will be 95% of the way to YES before you even start your product presentation.

Man! Is It Hot In Here Or Is It Just Me?

My husband and I were in Cancun when I wrote this title. It seemed appropriate at the time, since I had just returned from using the exercise facilities at the resort.

Why would I work out while staying at a resort??? My body craved it, thats why! It had gotten used to feeling the rush from sweating out the bad stuff and getting my blood pumping! There’s also peace that comes when I work out, and I’m sure I’m addicted to that somewhat. I told my husband that I needed to go work out because it was the only way I knew to get my brain to shut up long enough for me to relax! I get clear when I work out. That’s why I did it even while we were on vacation. What a great way to actually enjoy my vacation – not thinking so much!

Of course, this was just another opportunity for me to “work”, since I started thinking of all the things I wanted to write about, and changes I want to make, and things I want to read, and people I want to talk to and send cards to, and…….WOW! Maybe I need to go work out some more (that way I’ll just pass out and stop thinking!).

It occurred to me that I never really stop “working”. Or is it that I never stop being on vacation? What’s the difference anyway? My life is pretty good – I can’t complain. I’m a Stay At Home Mommy, with an Entrepreneurial lifestyle. I get to raise my kids at home, and work when I want to (or have the time to!). My kids can be my first priority – whenever they need me, I’m there. Having a Networking career allows me that freedom. So, whether I’m at home, at the grocery store, or on vacation in Cancun, I always have the freedom to do what I love! At the end of the day, it’s all about relationships. Building someone up. Showing someone the way. Taking the time to listen to them, their needs, and try to help them find a solution. Be the LIGHT!  You never know if the smile you give someone will change their life.

“If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!”

If you can’t stand the heat of parenthood and entrepreneurship, then get out now! Well, if you’re already a parent, you can’t really “get out” of that! But you can make other arrangements, if being a stay at home parent is not for you. There are times you will reach your Boiling Point with both. It’s important to be ready for those times, and working out (for me) has been a lifesaver in those areas! I have learned so much about myself just in the last month alone from working out and taking a vacation (from everything). I will go into more detail about our trip to Cancun in another post, so stay tuned!

There are things you have to do if you want to get ahead in your business, however, I have never felt it to be at the expense of being at home with my kids. Next month I will be attending the No Excuses Summit in Vegas, and Daddy will be taking over parenting duties while I’m gone. Some might consider that a “sacrifice”. That’s not how I see it, though. I view a “sacrifice” as having to give something up in order to get something else. To me, it’s more of a GIVE-GIVE situation: My kids are GIVEN a vacation from Mommy and GIVEN some time with Daddy. I am GIVEN some time and tools to grow my businesses, and that will GIVE me the ability to GIVE to others! See how that works? A little mind shift will make all the difference!

Bottom line: It’s not just me, It’s HOT in here! But I can take it, so BRING IT ON!!!

Leave me a comment and tell me what you think!

Yours In Sweaty Success!
